Overview

Taronga Zoo is one of the world’s greatest zoos - home to more than 3400 animals who reside on 52 acres of prime real estate on the shores of Sydney Harbour. It's been around for a century or so and is one of the most progressive zoos on the planet. This series proved just that, as keepers, vets and staff at Taronga Zoo embarked on some of their most ambitious projects ever.

‘Wild Life at the Zoo’ is an event led series telling stories of Taronga's charismatic animals, and exploring the intimate bond that exists between animals and their keepers.

Viewers experience the care and the impact these animals have on their keepers and vets, whether they’re taking them on an international journey, assisting with a new birth, or taking on a high risk medical procedure. One that provides humour, affection, emotion and occasionally sadness. It is a gripping factual series revealing the world of a zoo from a whole new perspective.
